Made in Japan by Tojiro, one of the world’s most respected commercial knife makers, this santoku knife fuses the finest qualities of both Japanese and Western craftsmanship. The blade profile mirrors Western kitchen knife geometry, while the handle embraces the elegance and comfort of traditional Japanese wooden handles.
The knife features a VG10 high-carbon stainless steel core, celebrated for its ability to hold an extremely sharp and enduring edge. This core is clad in soft stainless 13-chrome steel, offering improved durability and easier sharpening. With a symmetrical, double-sided grind, it is suitable for both right- and left-handed use (though the handle shape naturally supports right-handed grip).
The satin-finished blade provides smooth cutting performance, ideal for slicing, dicing, chopping vegetables, fish, and meat. Its Oriental-style magnolia handle sits comfortably in the hand, offering exceptional control during extended use. Each handle has a natural variation in colour—from light to rich ochre—highlighting the organic beauty of the material.
Please Note: The handle colour varies from light to quite deep ochre. Not dishwasher safe
