The JKC Kasai Heat Mat is an essential safety and workspace accessory designed to complement Kasai Konro grills. Hibachi-style cooking produces extremely high temperatures, particularly when using charcoal, which has a far higher energy output than wood. This heat mat protects worktops and surfaces from intense heat while allowing you to cook with confidence.
Manufactured in Britain from high-performance vermiculite, the heat mat offers excellent insulation and heat resistance across a working temperature range of 107°C to 350°C. In addition to surface protection, it provides a practical area for resting utensils, cookware, or ingredients, helping to keep your cooking space organised and reducing mess during service.
Each size is shaped specifically to match its corresponding grill:

Due to the natural properties of vermiculite, the mat must not be submerged in water, left outdoors, or exposed to excessive moisture. Minor surface variations are normal and do not affect performance.
