The Anmon series from Nigara Hamono represents the pinnacle of Japanese knife design, distinguished by its mesmerizing Damascus finish that is unlike any other. First created in 2008 by Tsuyoshi Yoshizawa, seventh-generation head of Nigara Hamono, the pattern takes its inspiration from John Lennon’s artwork and the dramatic Anmon Waterfalls of the World Heritage Shirakami Mountains, where the forge has thrived for more than 350 years.
Each blade is crafted from SG2 steel, celebrated for its exceptional hardness and edge retention, and finished in the striking Kurosome style for a dark, elegant presence. Precisionmachined and completed to the highest standards, these knives combine performance with artistry.
The handle, made from stabilized maple in a sleek black tone, provides excellent balance and refined simplicity. Every knife carries the proud engraving Nigara Made (二唐作), a mark of the company’s enduring legacy.
The handle colour varies from light to quite deep ochre. NOT DISWASHER SAFE.
