The Naniwa S2 Super Stone with JIS grit 800 is a coarse Japanese water stone, ideal for basic reshaping, edge repair, and initial sharpening of dull blades. This very rough stone efficiently removes material, making it the perfect starting point before progressing to finer grits.
Crafted in Naniwa’s renowned Osaka factory, the stone belongs to the highly regarded S2 Super Stone series, known for combining high sharpening performance with a smooth feel and long-lasting flatness. It uses premium white aluminium oxide (corundum) as its abrasive, offering reliable performance even on hard carbon steel.
