The Naniwa S2 Super Stone with JIS grit 220 is a very coarse Japanese water stone, designed for heavy reshaping, blade repair, and restoring extremely dull edges. As the most abrasive stone in the S2 series, it efficiently removes material to quickly reprofile blades before moving on to finer grits.
Manufactured in Naniwa’s Osaka factory, this stone is part of the trusted S2 Super Stone series, valued for its durability, smooth sharpening feel, and long-lasting flatness. It uses high-quality white aluminium oxide (corundum), providing excellent performance even on hard carbon steel.
