The Damascus steel blade has a core of high-quality VG-10 steel. It can be opened with a pin on the blade and is held in the open position by a liner lock safety device. The handle is made of beautiful hardwood. The beautiful Damascus steel blade is easy to open with the blue thumb stud. A solid liner lock locks the blade in place when opened. This means the knife won’t close while you’re using it. The wooden handle is finely polished and has a bamboo effect. ‘Take’ actually means bamboo in Japanese, hence the knife’s name. This design isn’t just aesthetically pleasing – the bamboo pattern also provides extra grip.
