An acquisition for life
A fine coating with hard facts
People who view the kitchen as an open space for creativity attach importance to quality tools. After all, cutting amounts to 2/3 of the manual work in cooking. With the Nesmuk DIAMOR®, this activity turns into sheer delight.
To cut vegetables into small cubes or sticks quickly and effortlessly with a razor sharp blade or to portion a fine chunk of meat neatly without any effort can be as satisfying as a hole-in-one at golf or the virtuoso playing of an instrument.
The Nesmuk DIAMOR® allows manual work with highest precision. This chef’s knife is a revolution that combines expertise, experience and advanced materials in a unique way. In collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Material and Beam Technology in Dresden, the blade is hollow ground on both sides and a diamond-like carbon (DIAMOR®) coating is applied to one side. DIAMOR® provides the knife with its cutting performance, while the steel merely serves as a carrier medium. The coating’s thickness is only a tenth of a human hair, its exceptional hardness of 5,500 Vickers – 8 times harder than steel – is only excelled by pure diamonds and ensures extraordinary long-term edge retention. Thus, a Nesmuk DIAMOR®’s sharpness lasts up to ten times longer compared to standard knives.
The knife’s elegant shape and its convenient handle ergonomics offer the user tireless, accurate and safe cutting. The polished collar made of finest silver provides a stylish transition to the solid, seamless handle which is available in a choice of different precious woods and coloured micarta versions.
Each Nesmuk DIAMOR® knife is delivered in a precious silk matte black wooden case.
Available in the following handle options: Red Micarta, White Micarta, Olive, Grenadill, Bod-Oak, Cocobolo and Amboina Wood
