JKC proudly presents a collection of Super Aogami knives, expertly hand-forged by the master blacksmith Shirou Kamo from Takefu Knife Village. These knives showcase a fusion of tradition and modern preferences, utilizing a 3-layer steel technique. In response to the inclination of our contemporary customers towards stainless options, we specifically requested the crafting of these knives with a High Carbon Aogami Super central core, enveloped in soft stainless for easy sharpening. The blades are finished with a black oxide surface, a technique traditionally reserved for iron steel to minimize rusting and evoke a classic aesthetic. The handles, made from rosewood, feature a Japanese Octagonal design with a white ring Ebony ferrule.
Please Note: The handle color varies from light to quite deep ochre. Not dishwasher safe.
Maintenance: Please note these are very high-carbon knives with an edge that will oxidize which can be reduced and removed with the use of rust-removing cream and camelia oil which are available in our maintenance section.
